The .env file located in application folder contains the run-time settings of your application. In it you can change the theme of your application to the one that suits your organization, Debugging level, database connections and mail settings

Debugging information helps you to view errors when viewing the application instead of showing the oops page. enabling the APP_DEBUGBAR allows you to view queries per page if you need to optimize anything.

This allows you to set application wide pagination. This limits the number of records you view per table.
